Eragon wasn't THAT bad.

The worst book ever?

It's got to be one of the following: The Scarlet Letter, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (my brother talked about that 24/7...and it was terrible), Confederacy of Dunces, and all sad attempts with tragic romances.

I loved Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime!
But for me, it is probably Jane Eyre. The story isn't all that bad, but the fact that it is almost 600 pages made me crazy when I had to read it.

Sooo... like Twilight?

I do admit the Dog in the Nightime was a bit obtuse, but I liked it.

And the First book of Eragon was too much like Starwars for my liking. I'll quote someone else here...
"See if this sounds familiar: a humble farm boy discovers that he possesses a hidden power and finds himself hunted by an evil overlord who once betrayed a noble order of knights charged with the protection of freedom and justice. Along the way he meets a wise old mentor who gives him a powerful sword, encourages the young man to develop his magical talents, helps him save a princess in the warlord's dark fortress, and sacrifices himself to save the boy. The movie ends with an air battle after the bad guys track down the hidden stronghold of the rebellion."

YES.

I have to say though, the idea was interesting....but... :shudders:

Just googled Twilight. How creepy:

"You don't know how long I've waited for you. And so the lion fell in love with the lamb." -stalker much?
"It makes me… anxious… to be away from you." -protective much?
"Do I dazzle you?" -arrogant much?
"I do want to know what you’re thinking — everything. I just wish… that you wouldn’t be thinking some things." -creepy much?
"Are you still faint from the run? Or was it my kissing expertise?" -arrogant much?
"You’re intoxicated by my very presence." -arrogant much?
"You are my life now." -lame much?
"I love you. It’s a poor excuse for what I’m doing, but it’s still true." -LAME much?
"you're my brand of heroin" -yes this is what all the girls want to hear. so addictive... :shudders:

ALTHOUGH, I have to admit, I did like these:

"Twilight, again. Another ending. No matter how perfect the day is, it always has to end." -THANK GOD THE BOOK IS OVER.

and

"Jacob did you know, that 'I told you so' has a brother,Jacob? And his name is 'Shut the Hell up'"

That last quote was actually pretty good.

BACK TO eragon. It was long. It wasn't that great....but I did like the movie....because alex pettyfer is really cutee

I can read that you know.

And I always thought that Twilight was creepy. Because if some guy came into my room at night to watch me sleep, I don't care if he's Don Juan, but he's getting a mace to the nuts and pepper spray to the face.

I know of some ofther forum where people tell how they've been harrassed, bullied, and outright attacked for not liking Twilight... I wounder if I can get to in on these PC's...

Almost all core books from school. Basically I find that reading is lame when it comes to school books, although when it comes to free choice its not that bad
